  Stayed in this home several times many years ago and decided to return and was reminded once again that this home is in a premium location. Right off the bluff trail and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The patio area is wind protected and a great place to read a book or grill a steak or just sit and take in the sounds and views the home offers.

  The best sited house on Sea Ranch we've stayed at (and we've been coming to Sea Ranch for 30 years). The house is very comfortable, and the first one we've stayed at where the hot tub is enclosed - nice. The trail and the beach are practically at the door! We will definitely return!

  The house is clean, gets a tremendous amount of sunlight throughout the day, and has an up-close view of the ocean. The fireplace in the living room is very efficient: lots of heat and no smoke. The kitchen is very well stocked for real cooking.
  The hiking trail is a few feet away from the living room windows, but this didn’t bother us.

  Typically our sea-ranch rentals involve a fair bit of travelling and exploring - seeking out nearby beaches, pools, and playgrounds. But staying at the Cardey house is different! You are already at the beach!
  
  The location is so close to "Walk On" beach that it's practically right in the front yard. But not quite, because the front yard is actually an adjacent rocky beach - also worth exploring - which creates a stunning white water view from most rooms of the house.
  
  The view is so beautiful, that folks walking the bluff trail often stop, right in front of the house, to take pictures of the same view that occupants of Cardey house enjoy full time.

  We spent 3 days at the Cardey House and had a great time. The location can't be beat and although there is a public hiking trail right in front of the house it didn't really bother anyone in our party. The house was exactly how it was advertised on the website. It's a bit dated in its decor, but otherwise well taken care of.
  We interacted with two company representatives (on the day of arrival and the day of departure) and they were both extremely helpful and courteous. I highly recommend the company and Cardey House.

  Thank you so very much for opening your home to others for a retreat. I spent most of the weekend just wanting to stay at the house and enjoy the view and amenities. I was in awe of the view but could not get over how perfect this house is (the atrium being attached to the house so we did not have to be out in the cold to walk to the spa was so thoughtful and elegantly done). I felt envied by those who walked by on the trail, wishing they could stay in Cardey.
  
  The last time I was there was 5 years ago. During this visit, the home and view was more perfect than I remembered. I hope to be back before another 5 years but in the meantime, thank you. The rental company did a wonderful job keeping the house clean and your hospitality was felt throughout the house.

  I would recommend this property to others. There were only two of us there, but it would work well f, or a larger group also. The home became rather hot during the day, as there are not many windows that open for cross breeze. But otherwise, the location is lovely, the kitchen is extremely well stocked, loved the piano also! The patio is also terrific - a good size with incredible views. We will come back to Cardey House in the future!

  The Cardey home has the best location and views of any home I've stayed in. The home is a bit outdated and could use a little TLC. There's no central heat for cold mornings and the couple of baseboard heaters didn't do much of anything so it would be nice to see that enhanced. The fireplace insert worked well and on some mornings we used that. Some of the sliding doors need replacing as they don't exactly slide easily. A larger smart TV would be nice. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

  A perfect location. Only issue was the entry area and garage flooded when it rain making in very difficult to enter the house without getting your feet wet.   This is an older home, well organized, with lots of storage space in the three bedrooms and two baths. The entry atrium was very dirty when we arrived and it needs attention. This was a good house for our family trip of five adults. The kitchen is on a different level than the dining area, and bedrooms are two downstairs and one upstairs, so be sure your guests can handle climbing stairs!
