  We loved the view from this spot. This was with out a doubt the best kitchen in Sea Ranch. And the window seat provided hours of fun watching the sheep (in for a mow that week), all the birds and the ocean. We love the size of the property. It was perfect for the two of us.

  Our second stay was as enjoyable as the first. A perfect location with unobstructed views. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Photos on the website are accurate. Lots of walking options available. Enjoyed many days of sighting deer right outside our windows. So the the restaurant at The Sea Ranch Lodge has reopened. Beautifully presented food. Also had lunch in the cafe. Appears the rooms at the Lodge will open next year. Made daily trips to Two Fish Bakery at Stewart Point. Great pastries, bread, sandwiches, and pizza. Surf Market in Gualala offers a wide selection of meats, produce, and deli items. It also has a good liquor selection. Already planning our return to Sea Ranch in 2023. Everyone at Sea Ranch Escape has been helpful and very professional.

  My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Art House. It's very inspiring and peaceful at the same time. Our time there was spent with beautiful walks along the ocean, hiking in the redwoods, enjoying the amazing view with some good wine on the balcony and cozying up on the day bed with some coffee in the morning.   This house was perfect for the two of us! It’s a beautiful home and has EVERYTHING supplied to cook meals. We loved having coffee on the deck in the morning and scanning the ocean for whales and seals - using the binoculars and scope found in the home! We saw so much wildlife in the meadow, and a stag visited right at the house. At night we drank wine and listened to the waves, relaxed in the hot tub, and stargazed. It was a beautiful experience and we would definitely stay at this property again!

  What a great experience. A wonderful home that is fully equipped for almost anything. Home is just a block from the ocean but has complete view from all rooms. And all the rooms are filled with art all the way to the ceilings. It is a small home with only one bedroom but is wonderfully designed to feel like a very large home. Two story ceilings in the living, dining, and kitchen great room. The bedroom and one of the baths is downstairs. Big refrigerator and fully stocked kitchen so bring on your gourmet meals. Home is located on a knoll so you can see up and down the coastline and can spot a whale from the living room. Property is clean and well maintained. Yes, I would recommend this property even to my mother if she was alive.

  Only issue was the dryer - I put sheets and towels in for 2 40 min cycles and they still were not dry enough to take out and fold, had to leave for our plane before the 3rd cycle was finished. Dryer, a new front load model (so should take a large amount) may need servicing. Thanks, truly wonderful property!

  Aptly named, The Art House is like staying in a gallery full of pictures and ceramics. A very diverse and eclectic collection, many of which are fun and whimsical. The house has interesting architecture and is well decorated. In fact, the dining room chairs have been upgraded and are nicer than the website photos. It was very clean and had been empty for 3 days prior, in accordance with Sea Ranch Escape protocols, so we felt very safe. Check-in and out is seamless. We have rented through Sea Ranch Escape in the past and have been happy with their efficiency. You have a blue water view of the ocean and can easily access the bluff trail and the nearby marine preserve. Most everything you might need is provided, which is important since we cooked there (few eating options at night in the area during present COVID situations). One downside is that the hot tub is a bit of a walk from the house and is actually situated in front of another (inaccessible) 2 room building in back. There is a 2 car garage, but it is not available to renters. We would definitely return in the future.

  Our first visit to Sea Ranch and not our last. We couldn't have asked for a better place to be for our seven day visit. The property in person is better than the photographs on the website. Beautiful and comfortable living room dual leather sofas and two window seats for reading and ocean/garden viewing. The kitchen and pantry are amazing. We have never experienced such a well stocked supply of kitchen equipment or dishware. The art collection is extensive and representative of a well curated series of experiences. The meadow location is perfect. A short walk to the ocean bluff and miles of walking trails. We are so grateful to have been able to enjoy this beautiful home.

  Always great to be at Sea Ranch. The Art House is a bit cluttered, the print of the chained elephants with the posing model in the main floor bathroom should be placed in storage, but we generally enjoyed our stay. The house is close to the coastal bluff trail, easy walking to the Olsen Swim Center, and generally very comfortable. The hot tub temperature is tepid at 99.

  The Art House is an interesting property at Sea Ranch. Having stayed at other houses prior at Sea Ranch. Everything in the house is high quality , especially the kitchen. I would say and the views out over the meadow to the ocean are tremendous. Just a couple of thoughts, if you are seeking outdoor space as well, there is deck, perfect for 2, just off the kitchen to eat outside. However it is covered and does not receive direct sunlight so can be cool in the spring, with the wind. Same for the outdoor space downstairs. We found a bit too many chairs up stairs - eight chairs at the dinning table alone. Since it is a house for just a couple we found it a bit much on top of two coaches and other chairs in the living room space. we would have liked a bit more room for moving around. Others may like it. One request, it was the height of allergy season and not a tissue box to be found in the house.
