  This was our first stay at this lovely gem of a home. It's a bit older but tastefully furnished, very clean and quite comfortable. Great sunny location with easy access to walking trails. There is a road in front of the home but it is not heavily used. Kitchen is well-equipped, with newer appliances and plenty of quality stainless steel cookware, including a 6 qt. stock pot, a covered 10" saute pan, two fry pans and two covered sauce pots. Several previous reviews (2021) had mentioned that the cookware was old and inadequate. Not any more. The home also has a newer full-size stacked washer & dryer. We saw lots of deer during the day. Did not use loft room, TV or wood stove so cannot comment. As usual, the Sea Ranch Escape office was professional, efficient and courteous. Looking forward to another stay at this delightful Sea Ranch home.

  We were so very happy with Sea Ranch Escapes and all communication regarding the rental. We LOVED this house and the views, short walk to bluffs and Shell Beach. I’ve already recommended both Sea Ranch Escapes and this rental in particular to my family and friends. The windows and views are AMAZING, and the hot tub is the best we’ve had at the Sea Ranch (I’ve been going there for over 35 years) - the jets and fun lighting color changing options was super fun! We always want try new houses to change it up, but I think we will be requesting this particular home in the future because of such a great location and experience. Thank you Sea Ranch Escapes! I chose Seascape this year and Benemy was everything I'd hoped it would be: Great location, beautiful setting, very nice & comfortable accommodations. Walking down to the beach, biking, relaxing on the deck or in the hot tub, playing dominoes at the dining table with friends who visited (another surprise for my wife), dining at St. Orres--there was plenty to do despite closures of all amenities due to COVID-19. Our 10 1/2 year old golden retriever, Abby, loved it, too! We will be back. Highly recommended!

  This house was set up well for 2 couples. Living room space allowed for good distancing during this COVID time. There is a spiral staircase leading to a loft in the Living room that is a real liability. We had to put a chair under it to avoid hitting our heads - very poor design. Also, I've never been in a unit that didn't have a hair dryer. The house was in a quiet location. Bathrooms are dated but functional. Good reading lights throughout which I like.

  We had a wonderful time at Sea Ranch. Benemy was a perfect house for us. The location was amazing, the layout of the house was perfect for our family. The hot tub was big and located on the deck with views of the Ocean. I could not have asked for a better place. The only improvement would be a recommendation that the owners need to invest in a new set of pots and pans. We did a lot of cooking the kitchen was fine except for pots and pans. I recommend if you plan to cook a lot to bring one or two good pots and pans. It would not stop us from renting Benemy again everything else was perfect.

  Loved staying here. It's a beautiful spot and the house is furnished in a really minimal way, which doesn't distract from the beauty of the land and ocean. The only issue was with the dishwasher, which seems to have really thick mineral deposits built up inside and doesn't always get the upper rack clean -- we had to re-wash some glasses.

  Escape we did. We came to unplug and unwind and Sea Ranch delivered well on that promise. The 180 degree ocean views from the Benemy house are simply breathtaking. On a clear night it's dark enough to see the Milky Way from the hot tub. Our strolls along the coastal paths were amazing in a foggy evening mist or in a crisp, bright morning. We discovered a beautiful outdoor room inside the windbreak of trees to the North. Our hike in the hillside meadows near the chapel was a sublime encounter with many rooms in the cathedral of nature.

  The Sea Ranch is hard to beat for quiet and beauty. The Benemy House was a little exposed for my taste. Felt like being in a "fishbowl". Even with the shades pulled, in the evening, you could see in from the outside.
  The place is a little tired inside. Clean but tired.
  The two leather chairs in the living room were disgustingly filthy. They looked as if they were picked up in a homeless encampment along 880 somewhere. We literally covered them with extra sheets before we sat on them. I am not that fussy but seriously you could do better on the furniture front.

You are correct in your assessment of the leather chairs in the living room, only the discoloration is caused from a defect in the material itself. The owner is in communication with the store the chairs were purchased from, so we hope that will end up well. We always appreciate the feedback. .....New chairs have been delivered 7/11/2019!

  The house is nice a spacious and beds where comfortable. The house just really needs some TLC, the windows where really dirty which was disappointing since this is one reason for being at the coast, the view. Weeds at entry steps, no barbecue and lack of comfortable seating. Overall a ok place, could be good with a little care.
