  We were in awe the moment that we entered this amazing home with breath taking views of the ocean. Equally impressive was how immaculate the home was cleaned and laid out. However, the excellent customer service that we received from Kara before, during AND after our stay was just as impressive. It is rare to go on vacation and have NOTHING go wrong, as well as to meet salt of the earth and kind folks.   We have rented vacation homes at The Sea Ranch for many years and have always had homes on the west side of the highway. Since we were bringing our dog who loves to swim this time we decided to opt for a more private location close to The Hot Spot and river. The views did not disappoint. We were able to watch several whales frolicking in the cove on a few different afternoons. Even from a distance we saw a few flukes and tails come out of the water. The house is very comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. Very quiet neighborhood and very private setting. The kitchen is fabulous but could use a few items that we would have appreciated. The dinnerware had several plates that were chipped and the large nonstick skillet was marred by people obviously using metal tools. Also the knives were very dull...luckily we had our picnic basket with us with a knife that cut the wonderful sourdough loaf from Two Fish Bakery in Stewart's Point. Ordinarily we would not have cared that the PVC blinds in the living room were damaged but we experienced a few very warm days and it would have been nice to be able to keep the sun out of the room in the afternoon. All in all...we loved Alta Pacifica and would definitely rent the property again. Gorgeous sweeping views and quiet privacy ruled our 8 day stay.

  Hillside house with outstanding views and privacy. The furnishings are in great shape, well spaced with very comfortable seating. The kitchen is well stocked with modern appliances. The bedrooms are ar opposite ends of the house with comfortable beds and great views. The hot tub has an odd configuration with somewhat weak jets but still worth using under the starry sky. As always, Sea Ranch Escape has been an ideal rental company to interact with.

  This was our third visit to Sea Ranch and first time at Alta Pacifica. This is a perfect choice for three couples. The three en suite bedrooms are separated allowing privacy. The chef’s kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space. The living areas are generous with access to two large decks with comfortable furniture. There is a Jacuzzi on one deck which is very comfortable. The views from Alta Pacifica are magnificent! You also are greeted by turkeys, deer, red foxes, and soaring birds. The Sea Ranch Escape staff responded instantly to several maintenance issues. It would be difficult to find a better or more relaxing residence than Alta Pacifica.

  This is a wonderful house in a fabulous location. It has everything that would need for a vacation - wonderful full kitchen. comfortable beds, hot tub and exceptional views. My only complaint is the state of the carpets which are badly stained (it is a dog house) and need a deep cleaning - otherwise it was a wonderful place.

  This house was perfect for our small group. The hot tub under the stars was so relaxing and the fireplace made the whole house feel cozy and warm. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen had almost everything we needed. We also really appreciated the company's dedication to the safety of guests and staff during the Covid-19 health crisis, and we had no issues with check in or check out.   Our pandemic pod of two fifty-somethings, four twenty-somethings and one Covid rescue dog loved our five night stay at Alta Pacifica. In less than three hours, we drove up highway 1 to there'll-appointed house on the hill with a beautiful view of sunsets and migrating whales. Everyone had space to relax and re-set. Daily hikes in the woods and on the bluff, a trek to the Hot Spot, a day trip to Mendocino, wine tasting at the Annapolis Winery, visits with the new lambs, nightly stargazing from hot tub and the requisite trip to Two Fish Bakery were some highlights.

  We had a glorious week's stay at Alta Pacifica for the end of the holidays. What a wonderful place to see in the New Year! The location of this home is in a private, peaceful area. There are hiking trails all around, and beautiful views of the ocean from the many window seats. The house is well maintained, clean, and inviting. The furnishings and beds are comfortable. The kitchen is quite large, and there's plenty of room for multiple people to prepare meals together.
  It's fun to enjoy the outdoors on one of three decks. There's outdoor furniture including a nice table & chairs for outdoor dining. There is also a nice hot tub located just off a bathroom. On rainy, cold days, there is a cozy gas lit fireplace in the living area.
  We loved this home and will be back!

  This is a relaxing, well-appointed home with a panoramic view. Everything is in very good condition with very comfortable beds and couches. Close to many hiking trails east of Highway 1. If you're looking for an easy walk to the ocean cliffs, this home wouldn't be a good fit. But we enjoyed the privacy and when we wanted to go to the beach, or walk along the cliffs, we made the short drive.

  From the moment we walked in the front door, my wife was overwhelmed. First thing you see is a breathtaking ocean view. The dog loved the forest trails a minute away, we loved the decks, hot tub, new BBQ, gourmet kitchen and big screen tvs. A day wine tasting in the nearby Anderson Valley, beach hikes at the Gualala River, lunch at the Sea Ranch Lodge.   Pure relaxation from the time we walked in the door! The view was breathtaking! We immediately felt welcome and at home. The house was beautifully appointed. We loved the nice furniture on every deck and the large BBQ. We spent all of our time outside, on those decks, from sun up to sundown. We loved having the ability to hear the music from the deck too. Views from every room. Kitchen was more than ample sized and well equipped. We're already planning to rent this home again for my bday next year. Two suggestions: an umbrella would be appreciated as the sun can get very hot and the larger upstairs bathroom could be updated but overall a lovely home. Thank you for sharing it . We will be back.

  The place is lovely, warm and inviting. Wonderful view without blocking homes. Trees, deer, turkeys and a huge owl that startled us one night. There are lots of hiking trails easy to walk, but not without challenges. Rooms were tastefully furnished with the most restful beds we've ever slept in. The kitchen was very efficient, easy to use; we made many delicious meals there. We also loved the fact that our dog Sadi could be with us (very important for our well-being). I have to say that earlier guests misused the rug by allowing their dogs to urinate on it. But there were cleansers that picked up the stains quite easily. Aside from that the house is a real home that we found congenial and intimate.

  What a view...just coming into this home will let you know you are going to enjoy your time at Sea Ranch. Although we usually stay in the meadow, I was drawn to this home by the etched doors. We were very happy with the change of location.
  The hiking in the redwoods and visits to The Hot Spot were new adventures for our family along with our usual tide pooling and bluff hiking.
  My favorite house surprise was the bush off the dining deck, however. It was such a delight to sit on the deck and watch dozens of tiny Rufus Hummingbirds feeding happily at this bush...very few squabbles, which is unusual for even two was like hummingbees. There were other visitors, too, deer, fawns and a fox along with the neighborhood birds.
  The only thing missing for our group, was a few kitchen items. This home is made for team cooking and festive meals...with two prep areas we could all come together and enjoy making fun meals to match this homes vistas...there is even a prover which made getting our homemade hotdog buns a breeze to rise.
  But, with all this space and storage, there is a very basic dish set...serving pieces both large and small are few and the knives are dull(a common occurrence because people put them in the dishwasher) . And table linens were very basic and few. This probably sounds picky, but this is such a lovely environment and comfortable in so many other ways that the heart of family gatherings could use a little more.

  The house has a terrific view. Hard to beat. The house (especially the upstairs) has a faint odor. We suspect it is due to it being a pet friendly home. The home was laid out well.

  Great location, spacious accomodations, would stay again. Despite excellent kitchen lacking some basic items for cooking including chef apron, food processor, good salt and pepper, garlic press. Also had difficulty getting audio from downstairs tv. Front gate latch needs adjustment and door guide on upstairs bedroom armoire needs repair.
