  Overall, this was a great rental house. Light, airy, and containing everything one could need. The kitchen was a dream, so well stocked. The one suggestion we might make is to spruce up the spa area and the deck. A weed hacker to the former and perhaps an umbrella to the latter, as the sun is very intense on the upper deck. But we enjoyed our stay immensely.

  We had a great weekend in this meadow home. The bright and uncluttered interior was just what we needed to relax for the long weekend. Good hot tub! The binder with instructions was very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen well appointed.

  Mare Vista is a nice, clean home settled into the oceanside meadow, with decent ocean views. The best thing of all was the peace and quiet and hot tub and large living room sofa for an afternoon nap with ocean breezes. For most people it is an easy walk to the very nice Rec Center. I would definitely consider another stay here.

  Mare Vista is perfectly located to get to the ocean bluff. As walkers we hike the bluff and other trails knowing that we have a very comfortable home to return to at hikes end. Saw the neighborhood fox twice, deer, and pelicans galore. Hot tub would have been quite relaxing had we chosen to indulge. Rather we enjoyed the sunsets over glasses of wine.

  Great location and lovely view. Good kitchen. Good hot tub. Garage is accessible. Not very "Sea Ranchy" on the inside but fills the bill. Tricky to adjust the heat to keep it comfy both upstairs and downstairs. As always impeccably clean and it's always nice to rent from the local agency as opposed to the big national chains that just don't care.

  We spent almost one week in this lovely house, which draws on the local Sea Ranch wood building traditions but integrates a modern look. The open kitchen/living/dining areas and the bedroom on the top floor offer great views of the ocean. Downstairs is another lovely bedroom with its own bathroom and shower. Everything in the house (from TV, to wifi, to jacuzzi) worked perfectly. It's an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of big-city-life and enjoy the beauty of northern California.

  Hi - we had a great stay at this rental property. I really like the layout. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house with the main meeting/socializing areas in the middle. The hot tub was a great plus. It's a bit further from the ocean but the value in price makes up for it - and the bluff walk is only about a 5 minute walk. You can see and hear the ocean from the property. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well furnished. We will be back!

  Overall it was great. The chance to get away and relax - lovely. The place was clean, kitchen was well equipped. Loved walking along the trails, curling up on the couch and reading. The stairs didn't really have hand rails that worked, couldn't grab on to them, and with my knees I had to lean into the wall, especially in the early morning. The art was faded from so much sun, and overall the decor was pretty dated, i.e. 80s style oak kitchen. But overall we enjoyed it a lot. The Check in process was easy. I wouldn't rent this place again because of the handrail issue, though I'd use Sea Ranch Escape to rent a different place, and I'd investigate accessibility in more detail next time.

  Enjoyed the location of this home which allowed easy access to the bluff trail. Close to Gualala for shopping at Noma And Studio 391 where we bought extensively. Llocal restaurant reviews were spotty so had no desire to spend money eating out. The kitchen at Mar Vista is stocked to the gills with every imaginable utensil, dish, pot, pan and electric conveniences ( capuccino maker).
  which made cooking fun. We prefer a more rustic house but the furniture and beds were comfortable. The TV was fine and we could even record programs.
  The downside to this house is the number of stairs- up to the living room and one bedroom and then down to the kitchen dinning area. One bd is on the entry level with the hot tub. the stairs do not have hand rails only a bannister to steady oneself which makes it difficult when carrying anything. Entrance to the spa could be made safer as well. I would recommend this well maintained home to people who like climbing stairs for exercise.

  A hair dryer and an iron+board not being available in the house were the only two negatives about this property. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Meadow setting with limited ocean view. Spa tub adjacent to lower bedroom in enclosed small patio; great for star-gazing on clear nights. Kitchen well equipped with lots of dishes and flat wear, variety of cooking pots and pans. Easy access to trail system and fairly close to Gualala for groceries.

  We arrived just when the sun was going down and the view from the living room was stunning... the house is beautiful but the steps going to the kitchen , dinning room one has to wear a footwear that does not slide... we park our luggage at the downstairs bedroom which was great, but the blinds need to be more secured, it fell down as soon as I tried to lower it and it looks like it was not the first time it fell to the floor...the furnace was loud as it was next to the bedroom, so we turned it off at night...over all it was wonderful, walking on the trails and exploring the tide pools ...Thank you very much!
