  We were married at The Sea Ranch Chapel and have returned many times, including three different rental properties. They were all nice but Lovers Reach stands out for the great location and views. Well maintained, clean, kitchen was well equipped. Windows seats were great and much used. Beautiful entry garden. Bed was very high, step provided is needed for anyone short. Clarification of what blankets were pet vs. human would be good. If the bottle of wine on the counter was intended for guests, a note would have been nice. 3 nights not enough!

  Our second stay at Lover's Reach was even better than the first. The cabin is beautifully designed and appointed so that everything we needed was within reach. The setting could not be more beautiful -- every day we took our dog for a long walk along the cliff, encountering seals, marine birds, wild seas. Gorgeous sunsets and cozy evenings led to blissful nights. Our pup recognized the place and settled in immediately. She loved roaming the enclosed front area. Staff at Sea Ranch Escapes were helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

  This is our first time at this house and we have been trying to get it for a while. It's difficult to find a small house on the ocean, but this is THE place. Perfect for two and the owners clearly care about this home. It is well stocked and you can tell they COOK. Lots of spices, including less common ones like saffron threads and vanilla bean pods! We typically bring everything we need, as we have encountered houses that didn't have basic items (no pepper! no bowls!). We cooked every one of our 7 nights and had everything we needed. And they had sharp knives! (and an electric knife sharpener) A first for a rental. The house was very clean and had just the right amount of decor without being cluttered. Pleasant blue color schemes throughout. Great location near the bluff, but not so close that people walking the trail are looking in your windows. A charming garden area with private hot tub. As always, Sea Ranch Escape staff were perfect to work with. Can't wait to get back.

  Had an amazing one week stay at Lover's reach in April 2022, weather was windy, sunny, simply amazing! The house is one big living space, with heated floors, a propane gas stove, large TV, secluded hot tub, and AMAZING views of the ocean! We sat outside at the end of each day and watched and listened to the roar of the ocean. Wonderful trails to walk short or long distances. The pool (athletic complex) is a 5-minute walk, and Gualala is a 5-minute drive. Very affordable, highly recommend it!

  We LOVE Lovers Reach! So does our 9-year-old labradoodle Matilda. We start every day with a sunrise walk and a morning soak in the hot tub. Afternoons at low tide we walk to the bluff to watch the seals napping. Every sunset it’s wine and cheese on the patio. And then back to hot tub to watch the stars come out. Amazing ocean views from every spot in the house except the lavatory. We’ve spotted whales from the bed, most wonderful mattress ever! Radiant heat floor is wonderful. Kitchen well stocked with spices. BYO condiments. This was our 3rd stay at Lovers Reach and our 6th time renting from Sea Ranch Escape. All Sea Ranch Escape homes are impeccably clean! All the properties are well-maintained by their owners too. Kara (owner and founder’s daughter), Kathy and Nancy are so helpful and respond to any concerns immediately. In my experience VACASA is the Motel 6 of vacation rental management and Sea Ranch Escape is the quaint privately-owned inn that you’ve been going to for years and they treat you like old friends. Call Kara today. Yes, that’s right, I said “call” as in the telephone because this company is run by real people who really care about their guests. You can email too, but it was a phone call 3 years ago when Kara set us up on a blind date with Lovers Reach and it’s been a happily ever after fairytale.

  Our stay at Lovers Reach could not have been better. The house itself is beautifully arranged, well stocked, and extremely comfortable with a stunning view of the magnificent Pacific in all its moods. Stepping outside, gorgeous walking trails extend along the coast in both directions. We walked our dog for miles every day without having to get in the car. If you're bringing a dog, you'll be glad to know the front garden is completely enclosed with no avenues of escape. Everything was clean and worked -- hot tub, water pressure, appliances -- and the interior is beautiful, full of light, and with soaring ceilings. Can't say enough about how lovely our time there was. I can't wait to go back!

  LR is a lovely well-appointed property and we had no complaints except that construction started at a vacant lot right next door, so we had a couple days with noise and lack of privacy since the crew was literally steps from the large side window, Heavy equipment was delivered, and then back hoes started digging on the morning we left. This had the potential to ruin our peaceful getaway. Scheduling should take this kind of thing into account.

  This was an amazing stay here. The sounds of the surf were relaxing. The many windows provide gorgeous views of the sunset and the ocean cliff.   We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! The beautiful house is exceptionally well designed and furnished with quality items. It's the perfect size for a couple and is very dog-friendly. Ocean views are tremendous from almost any spot in the house. The tranquillity and quiet is priceless. The house also has a great location on the bluff trail, situated right at the beginning of the Marine Preserve. We spotted a whale on 2 separate days!

  My 65th birthday present to myself was a bucket list item...Stay at an oceanfront house. So, location was important and Sea Ranch was ideal. Lover’s Reach was a well appointed cozy home, perfect for a romantic getaway. I’ve rented from Sea Ranch Escape before and they are right up front with pricing and extremely helpful about everything. Not so with Airbnb and VRBO. Everything was perfect! Loved our stay!!!

  Lovers Reach is a great place for a getaway—the perfect size for two, with a well-appointed kitchen, cozy living room, and comfortable bed, plus a private patio with a hot tub. The house is right on the bluff—great for whale and bird watching, and close to Gualala for quick trips to the store. Highly recommend!

  I recently spent 7 nights at Lover’s Reach. It is a very comfortable, we’ll-located property offering great ocean views and access to the bluff. My enjoyment of the house was lessened by problems with some of the amenities: gas fireplace did not work, thermostats did not seem to work properly, motion-activated night light located at a tricky little step did not work, and the kitchen had a definite ant problem. You couldn’t leave any dirty dishes on the counter for more than a few minutes without getting a flurry of ant activity. On the positive side, the kitchen is very nicely outfitted and the furniture comfortable.
