  This was our second stay at Autumn Mist, and we loved it. The views of the ocean from the front window are perfectly framed by a windswept cypress. We love the rustic stone floors and furnishings (a stunning polished driftwood table) and the artwork is wonderful. Beds are also xtra comfy with a mattress topper. In short, I could live there! One more thing— the kitchen is very well appointed and the owners have staples like spices, olive oil, coffee, etc., in case you forgot something.

  Beautiful spot. View from the upstairs bedroom was amazing. Well stocked Kitchen...all the cooking equipment necessary. Just a short walk to the Bluff Trail. Saturday weather was beautiful went for a walk along the Bluff Trail...did a little Hot Tub. Saw sea lions and saw from a distance a whale jumped out of the water, so excited. Sunday rained all day...but we didn't mind. We'll be back.

  This was our second time at Autumn Mist. It's a visually lovely and very clean home with lots of interesting art, rugs and furnishings. We even saw upgrades in the window treatments from last year when we visited. The view of the ocean is specular and just steps away. This is a perfect rental for one or two couples and a dog, it you are luck to have one. The house is close to town, the recreation center, the golf course, and hiking trails. The window seat in the living room is perfect for reading and afternoon napping!

  The view is even better than expected. Sitting at the window seat (upstairs or down) with coffee in hand or wine later in the day makes for the ideal get away. Autumn Mist had one of the best stocked kitchens. Lots of quality pots and pans (with matching lids to boot), every utensil needed along with foil, plastic wrap, etc. The walks with the dog along the secluded roads and coastal trail were wonderful both first thing in the morning as well as late afternoon. This will be our first choice for our next Sea Ranch stay.

  We loved our 12 night stay at Autumn Mist! With nothing between us and the cliffs, the view was spectacular. The weather was chilly and very windy (not unusual for June) so I especially enjoyed the comfy window seats. It is easy to just join the cliff side trail for as long as you like. We loved the character of the architecture and interior, which echoes the character of The Sea Ranch. The house was spotless, the quality of the furniture and appliances make the stay comfortable and easy. It is close to Gualala in case you run out of wine or cheese or chocolate. Would love to spend a month there. Another couple joined us for a few days and with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, we had any privacy we wanted. We would definitely recommend Autumn Mist!

  Beautiful classic Sea Ranch property. Oceanfront property with every amenity needed. It is on the northern end of the Sea Ranch property, which makes it easy to run into Gallala. Loved sitting in the enclosed hot tub to watch the sunset. Loved well apportioned kitchen. Loved having a fireplace downstairs and upstairs in the huge upstairs master suite. Very handy to have a large walk in closet in master suite. Nice garage to park in which accommodated our high clearance Jeep. It is very close to other houses but lucked out that everybody was quiet! All we could hear was the crashing ocean waves. Loved walking on the trail each morning. House very clean, and great instructions for everything. Could not figure out why ice maker on the door not working, it was because nobody had put down the lever in the ice maker!
  Stayed an extra 2 days because we did not want to leave. Will stay there again!

  We have been staying at Sea Ranch properties for over 25 years. This was one of our favorite homes. The upstairs bedroom with its cozy fireplace, unbelievably comfortable bed, and full wall of windows with ocean views was amazing. The furnishings and decor were tasteful and built to last and the artwork was wonderful. The kitchen was well-stocked with quality cookware and serve ware. Just a few yards from the Coastal trail, it was easy to walk to town from the property (just a couple of miles). We saw a lengthy procession of whales on Monday... spouting along, and with one breach. And it is not even whale season!

  Just returned from another week-long visit to Autumn Mist. We love this place but stayed elsewhere the last three years. It was SO good to be back. This home is clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. Gr8 artwork throughout the house, too. The location is fantastic, only steps to the bluff and the thunderous waves. Just a couple minutes to Gualala for groceries. On our second day, we experienced countless whale sightings all day long. It was absolutely incredible! The only side trip we made was our annual visit to Annapolis Winery to sample and purchase some of their fine wines. I've been visiting TSR for over 25 years and Autumn Mist is probably my favorite home. As usual, the Sea Ranch Escape staff was terrific.
  Minor issues: the gas bbq lacks a functioning auto igniter and the grill brush needs replacing. Otherwise, it worked fine. Also: the light switch for illuminating the steps leading to the hot tub was inoperable (stuck). Be sure to pack a flashlight & batteries. A knob was missing from one of the hot tub controls, too. Again, not a big deal.

  This trip was our second to the home called "Autumn Mist" at Sea Ranch. We found it completely clean, beautifully appointed, ready for us to enjoy when we arrived. Since we wanted a restful getaway with our dog, we were able to enjoy this peaceful place with incredible ocean views and presence all day long. The best part was the sunset show that began at 5pm and lasted until 8:30. We hiked the bluffs daily, used the lovely Del Mar swimming pool, rented bikes for rides throughout the development (from Sea Ranch Supply) and slept deeply with stars over the ocean and many whale sitings. It's a short drive into Gualala for supplies, but we cooked (using the very nice gas grill) every evening so we wouldn't be separated from the peace and the ocean. The hot tub was pre-heated for us and we used it on a few occasions and it was fantastic. The property description is absolutely right about amenities, location and layout. It's perfect for one family or two couples, and dogs are allowed. The outdoor patio is a perfect place to clean off sandy or dirty paws, with a hose convenient and a place for outdoor lunches is so nice. I love, love, love, this house and its location and can't wait to go back. Thank you for a beautiful 4 days.

  Despite inclement weather, most of the time, our week at Autumn Mist was terrific, as usual. Since we spent a lot of time indoors with a fire going, we were excited to see the new tv and cable addition, but disappointed that the package did not include ESPN, as I love to watch college sports. However, more time was available for reading, shopping in Gualala, as well as breakfast, lunch, and Wed night dinner at Trinks, so that was a plus! King sized mattress in master bedroom is very comfortable. Kitchen is reasonably equipped. The overhead cabinets are difficult to reach. Although oceanfront, accessing the bluff trails is not direct if doors are to be locked. Be sure to request a trail map to take advantage of the outstanding coastal forest trails in the Sea Ranch hillside

  Autumn Mist is beautiful with a very well equipped kitchen and plenty of cooking space. The views of the ocean are so beautiful and the walking trail right outside the back gate.

  This house is a dream. The descriptions were all accurate but can’t convey the full charm, warmth, comfort, privacy, and beauty of the place. We loved browsing the books in shelves upstairs and down and picking the right puzzle to put together. The location is perfect, and we walked the coastal bluff trail north and south every morning and afternoon. The cool and misty July weather was a perfect escape from this summer’s heat wave, and the hot tub was the best. The smart TV was fun for movie watching at night. The town had everything we needed. We were so glad we had reserved a meal at Harbour House in Elk well ahead of time, but that was the only excursion we wanted. Thank you for this lovely house, which made our souls happy!

  This was our third year at Autumn Mist! Our doggies love it and feel very welcomed by the enclosed garden/patio area. The salt water hot tub is older, but still feels great! We love to just open the window and listen to the ocean all week, as you are only about 30 yards from the water with the waves crashing in your own (feels like) private cove. Sunsets are gorgeous and the wind can be an all day thing at times, but all in all this is a beautiful property that we will return to for years! We already booked next year!

  My Husband Jeff, our dog Joe and I just returned from 7 perfect days at Autumn Mist at The Sea Ranch. We have been coming to Sea Ranch for many years. Autumn Mist is now our favorite home. From the moment we walked in we all felt at home. The house is filled with a warm personal touch that invites you to kick off your shoes and enjoy. You can feel that a lot of love has been invested into making this home beautiful as well as comfortable. The huge window seat is an ideal place to just sit and enjoy your morning coffee and watch the deer in the meadow. The upstairs deck became my favorite spot for long meditations while listening to the sound of the crashing waves. After our long walks along the trails that are just outside the back door and go along the ocean bluff we relaxed in the hot tub that sits on the elevated deck in the back yard. Perfect! The Kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking delicious meals and setting a beautiful table. The huge master suite is inviting and romantic. It has a huge stone fireplace (like the one in the living room), views of the ocean and a king size bed that makes for a great nights sleep. EVERYTHING about Autumn Mist is perfect for an ideal get-a-way. We will return. Soon we hope.

  The pictures don't actually represent how nice Autumn Mist is in person. We were extremely happy and hope to return soon. I loved the window bench seats both up and downstairs. I loved the little bench seat outside the back door facing the ocean. We made a fire a couple nights. I love opening the upstairs slider and listening to the ocean as I lay in bed at night. I loved the "privacy" blinds to open only at the top. The jacuzzi was relaxing (though a little bit funky smelling). Super nice. Super luxurious. This is my idea on "camping"!

  We chose this home and location for several important reasons: good access to walking trails, dog friendly beach access, tranquillity and privacy. This home met all our needs and exceeded our expectations. This was a 50th wedding anniversary vacation for us so the quiet and privacy was very I,portent. The rooms had beautiful ocean views and the built in couch the length of the windows both downstairs and upstairs provided a perfect reading spot. The enclosed patio gave us a buffer from the wind and the access to coastline walking was not even twenty feet from the home.
  Amenities included a salt water hot tub, washer and dryer, garage and every possible kitchen appliance and tons of dish ware and glassware, pots and pans. It had all the conveniences of home with the spectacular setting and freedom from the responsibilities we left behind. It was a perfect relaxation spot for those wanting quiet, privacy and the beauty of the sea and wildlife.

  I very much enjoyed my stay at Autumn Mist! The location was fantastic though maybe a little cramped with the two other houses sharing a drive way and sharing space with the maintenance men all week who were replacing the fireplace in the neighboring home. Unfortunately things happen and need to be fixed so that I can overlook. It was my great pleasure being there after many years of skipped vacations. My only bones to pick was the dusty interior, and the lower level room and master bathroom tub having ants throughout and I didn’t feel comfortable using the lower room considering I had a dog and my 2 year old present. There were ant traps throughout the house but it took me dousing them with bug repellent to kill them. I also felt that the dusty interior appeared to me as though they were not expecting my visit for the week. I overall loved my stay and had great trail access and outside space for my dog, along with a beautiful view. I will always recommend this wonderful company for seaside vacations.

Well furnished and kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses etc. Our only complaint was that the TV (cable) and the internet went out frequently and stayed out for long periods of time. This was a problem for us and may keep us from renting here again. The person at the rental office told us to "read a book" when we reported it. Not helpful. Internet is important to us. The only way we are able to get away from our business is to keep in touch via internet. I would reccomend this property with concerns.

  We came to sea ranch to relax and unwind before the birth of our son in december. We had a great time and the Escape was all that we hoped it would be. We played golf, went to the pool, took long walks, and enjoyed some quiet time. Beautiful place to unwind!

  Wonderful stay in a spacious home with a well stocked kitchen. We, along with our two dogs, spent lots of time gazing out the picture window in the living room at the ocean. The only drawback is that the master bedroom upstairs does not have a door to shut out sound and light.

  View from living room was good. Would have been better if the windows had been cleaner. Maintenance replaced burned out kitchen lights. WiFi connectivity was good; speed ok. Ocean sounds were excellent. Overall I would rate the experience 8.5/10.0.
