  Great experience with the rental company, very professional & friendly! The home was nice without being fussy. There really wasn't any ocean view to speak of, but the bluff trail access wasn't a far walk. Our only complaint is that we did extensive cleaning & disinfecting before we left the home, but still got dinged for 5 hours of cleaning.

    Hi Valerie, Thank you for your kind comments and constructive criticism. I wanted to let you know you were charged for 4 hours of housekeeping, not 5. You were a party of 8 and 4 hours is absolutely the average time it takes for the housekeeper to clean Beach House, when it is left in good shape. Every single bed was made up, including the king-sized sleeper sofa bed and the bunk beds. Each set of sheets, all the bath towels and spa towels, and all the duvet covers are laundered after each guest. It is very time consuming. While the laundry is being done, the housekeeper is, of course, cleaning the rest of the house. The housekeeper did say you left the home in good condition; however, he did have to go over some of the areas. I am sorry if you feel 4 hours is extensive. I wanted to elaborate a bit on what the cleaning process is so perhaps you can understand better. We hope to see you again. Thank you, Kara

  My architect father-in-law has long wanted to visit Sea Ranch as bucket list destination and so we made it a big family trip. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of places to accommodate 8 people comfortably. Thankfully we found Sea Ranch Escape and Beach House. Beautiful home with every amenity we could ask for (esp. fiber optic internet!). We had such a wonderful time here enjoying the great views, along with the pool table, jacuzzi and very comfortable accommodations while we journeyed out and explored the amazing location of Sea Ranch. It is important to note that every single person I spoke with at Sea Ranch Escape was so warm and helpful and kind. Just perfect. Can't wait to visit again.

  We needed a 4 bedroom and chose the Beach House with a loft for a fourth bedroom. It was lovely. Bedding was so nice, all kitchen accessories were amazing, from the garlic press to the coffee grinder. they even had parchment paper, foil and seran wrap. We always bring our own. EVERY thing worked. And the house was so clean, including the hot tub.We had such fun with the pool "tournaments" And the one movie we watched accommodated us all very comfortably.
  We will definitely rent from you again. I will look for a house with a bit more of a water view, as some of our group missed that! I said take a walk!

In the short periods of no rain we crept out to see the baby seals or to prowl around Walk On Beach among the huge new piles of driftwood. This house is well situated.   We spent Christmas holiday at the Beach House in Sea Ranch with our family and my newly married daughter's in-laws. We had 8 people staying there and 13 for Christmas dinner. There was enough room that we did not feel crowded at all. The house is situated close to the trails and beach. We walked along the sea every morning and saw sea lions and whales.   I rent a .place every fall for my three children and their spouses. Everyone loved this place. The round dining table wa a big hit. We like to hike the trails and I the beach. We enjoyed the walk to seal rocks through the woods.,. We only ate out one night. And that was at the Thai restaurant which was better than some of our places. No one was ready to leave but Monday was work day.,hope to come again next year .   This is our new favorite home in Sea Ranch. It is a great home for families with lots of natural light, and a nice open feel. It is in a great location with respect to convenient access to the paths and beach. However, for a property categorized as "oceanfront," it has a very limited view of the ocean. The view is still lovely looking over the meadows, but it is not a full ocean view.

  House was perfect for our group - each couple had a nice bedroom and the kids loved the loft. Even though none of us play pool, we had great fun trying (although there really isn't quite enough room for some of the shots with the furniture & the entry railing). The kitchen is REALLY well equipped - its obvious the owners spend a lot of time here too, so all the nice extras & details are thought of. Location is perfect - easy walk to Walk On Beach and the Tide Pools. My only 'disappointments' were that the ocean view is best from the loft upstairs, rather than downstairs.......and that the wireless internet was troublesome & we ended up needing to be connected to the cable to make a good connection rather than going wireless....but those are minor details. Would definitely rent this house again.

  The rental contact at check in was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I've forgotten her name (Nancy?). As pleasant as that experience was, the person representing the rental company at check out was short to the point of being rude. One of my guests was inquiring about renting property in the upcoming weeks. The representative was less than helpful.

  Beach House is a truly excellent house for a family. We had ourselves, our three children (age 40), a son -in-law, and two grandchildren ages 2&4. The open design was perfect for all. The loft was perfect for the kids, the kitchen worked out well for us cooks, and the main room was good for when some wanted to nap, others wanted to play cards. Location is spectacular. Lots of deer wander near the property, woke up one morning to find three of them seeking shelter from the rain under a tree in front of my bedroom. The only caveat was not knowing that one of the bedrooms had bunk beds and the loftbed was a little uncomfortable. Overall great experience, would rent again.

  This was a very nice home. We loved the layout of the house. It had a beautiful common area and the bedrooms were private. However, this was said to be an oceanfront property with ocean view. The ocean was barely visible. We felt this was a deception to call it ocean view. We've stayed at many other sea ranch homes that were truly oceanfront/ocean view and this Beach House just didn't measure up in that capacity.

  After a pretty blustery winter, I felt we were perhaps the first guests renting in wonderful springlike weather. The BBQ wasn't ready to tank available. I was surprised the BBQ wasn't ready to use since I had called prior to our stay to ask if it was a gas or charcoal one. The house is a great one for a group, particularly a group that likes to cook and play pool! The location couldn't be better. My only problem besides the BBQ was that the hot tub wasn't hot enough. for us.

  We stay in this property every year for 4 or 5 years now simply because there is a pool table in the house aside from other good things. However, we have complained that there is a cabinet by the wall that obstructs the play. Could you communicate to the owner to relocate the cabinet so we can play freely? Other than that, everything is perfect as usual. Thanks.

  We had a great time. Only "problems" were that the BBQ wasn't clean and we had to call to get propane (fixed immediately); there were ants in the kitchen and we seemed to have a running battle with the small centipedes that kept showing up. Otherwise, a great place to stay.
