An ocean view which can be seen across one entire wall of windows, a walk-on beach at the foot of the bluff... the site is lovely. The home itself is even better—spacious throughout, beautiful views from all the windows, tastefully yet comfortably furnished. In all the years I’ve been coming to Sea Ranch, Cielo e Mar is my favorite home. And the Sea Ranch Escapes ladies are informative and helpful, creative and kind. We would have stayed longer than a week if circumstances permitted!

We loved relaxing on the deck watching the waves crash over the rocks, or sitting in the hot tub while the stars came out. We stay in many Sea Ranch homes and this is a favorite.....great layout, nice furnishings and art, comfortable beds and a beautiful inside courtyard to relax if it’s windy; we wished the fire pit had been workIng. The home was not as clean as we like and is starting to show wear on the floors and cabinets....but nothing that will prevent us from returning! We loved Cielo and the service at Sea Ranch Escapes is exceptional ❤️

The view from Cielo e Mar is superb and the architecture supports enjoying the view. This is our 3rd stay of 2 weeks and we are scheduled back next year. When minor things went wrong John the handyman was there in an instant (light burned out, etc). Go there-you'll love it!

Although it rained for most of my birthday vacation, my friend and I were content to spend lots of time in our house (Cielo y Mar) at Sea Ranch.
Our abode was spacious but cozy, complete with a fireplace and big windows facing the ocean. The kitchen was in perfect condition with a state of the art refrigerator, dishwasher and coffee maker. It was lovely to make breakfast every morning while watching a doe with her fawn dance across the green lawn.��

C & M ranks unrivaled at the top of a long list of homes we've rented since 1977, when we first came to Sea Ranch on our honeymoon. First our biases. We've stayed everywhere but prefer the bluff to the hillside because we like to hear and see the waves, preferably white water, and have easy access to the stunning bluff trails. We also prefer north of the White Barn to south because we love the unbroken length and drama of the trail to Gualala Point Regional Park and the Del Mar Recreational Center. C & M satisfies our locational preferences and also provides an unfussy, spacious, open-plan, well-equipped kitchen/living-dining area with commanding ocean view and immediate access to a broad deck that includes a glorious hot tub. C & M also has two private, comfortable bedrooms, one with a King and its own bathroom; the other with a queen and its own door to a second bathroom, whose hall access can be locked.
No matter what the weather, C & M affords us a tranquil, relaxing, and intimate away time that we invariably wish was at least one day longer.

The pictures online doesn't do it's justice. What we thought would be a cozy two bedroom turned into a glamours resort like stay. It was too big for the two of us! (In the best way possible). Cielo is very updated and feels very new. Unlike the other properties we've stayed at before.

The house is clean, elegant, and beautiful throughout. It's a very well designed house. The appliances seems to be carefully picked out. both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, plus if you're staying with friends. We stayed in the master bedroom that has a door directly to the tub outside. The walk-in closet was clean and big, allowing us to hang our garments up so it doesn't wrinkle in the suitcase. The master bed is a king size bed, very comfortable. The second bedroom is your regular queen size bed.

You can see the water right when you walk into the house through the living room windows. The kitchen has everything you'd need to cook with. And the very comfortable brown leather sofas made our movie nights in the house feels so cozy.

We highly recommend staying with Cielo e Mar. We will be back again.

P.S. the only minor thing I'd like to say is the tea kettle needs to be changed.

Sea Ranch was a wonderful find for our party of four celebrating our recent retirements -- and Cielo e Mar was top of the line in every way. We LOVED it! The view from the decks and all the ocean-facing windows (and there are many) was amazing. We enjoyed the deck as much as the house -- a perfect perch to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Even though there are homes nearby, Cielo e Mar is designed in such a way that you feel complete privacy. In addition to being beautifully furnished and decorated, the home was equipped with everything we needed -- comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, games, books, laundry. We had a problem with a mal-functioning stove throughout our stay, which derailed our communal cooking plans, but management tried to fix it (though unsuccessfully for three days)-- and we rolled with it. It was a disappointment, but not a deal-breaker. Those things can happen at home, too. Our appreciation to Ralph -- of the four management staff who talked to us about the stove problem, he was the only one to express any regret for the inconvenience and to be genuinely sorry. Thank you to the owners of Cielo e Mar for sharing their wonderful home -- it was a pleasure to stay there. We would love to return to your corner of paradise!

Incredible place. So quiet, peaceful, deer at the edge of the deck each day with fawns frolicking within 20 feet of the deck! Everything was perfect and so clean. Management couldn't have been nicer.

This home and our stay at The Sea Ranch was beyond anything we could have expected. Our home was incredibly comfortable so we felt right at home. The only issue was that housekeeping had missed our home before check in but the home was still reasonably clean (required us to finish up some laundry). Upon check out, we received an apology (without our mentioning anything) and were told that our cleaning charge would be waived. A very small hiccup that did not detract at all from our stay.
As we usually stay at 4 and 5 star properties I can honestly say that Cielo e Mar is of that quality. During our checkout we looked into when we could return to Cielo e Mar, hopefully in the very near future

This is an upscale house in a great location, well maintained. We're picky. This house is well designed and does not have the negatives (quirky angles, wierd windows, and so on) of many Sea Ranch houses. Good beds. Kitchen supplies a bit spartan but adequate.

Cielo e Mar is an excellent, upscale rental. It is spacious, light-filled, and tasteful. It has a great view of white water, but is set back a bit from the bluff trail, so it does not get the worst of the wind on windy days. Good bathrooms, and a big walk in closet. Very comfortable beds (and we are picky). The deck is very pleasant for sunny or later, for cocktails. Slight downsides: you see quite a lot of people on the trail down to the bluff trail, which didn't bother us. And the kitchen is the house's weakest link as it is not as well stocked as kitchens in some other rentals; it's rather small. It's certainly adequate however. We have spent four months in Cielo e Mar now and it would be our first choice for our next visit. It's an excellent house. It's location in central Sea Ranch near Shell Beach is an ideal location, not too far from Gualala or recreation centers or the best beaches.

Have been visiting The Sea Ranch for 23 years and this home is one of our favorites. Has almost everything we love, except we have to leave our dog at home. Tasteful decor as well as comfortable and very clean and well maintained. Great location with a great view and an easy walk to several beaches. If you like to cook, very nice kitchen but don't forget to bring your own knives!

Beautiful house with a beautiful view. Sofas are quite uncomfortable and feel like you're sliding down when you sit. Cutting boards would be a welcome addition to the kitchen as would instructions for using the stove which has lost its markings. TV usage is too complicated and couldn't sign in to our Netflix account because the owners name was logged in and couldn't be changed.

This property shows better than the photos and is extremely clean and well kept. Great kitchen for cooks; well equipped. Love the water view from most rooms in the house. Unfortunately, the central heating system stopped working and there was a problem with the water system which created a lot of noise at night. A new, comfortable couch would be a lovely addition. The jet button on the jacuzzi did not work properly. Despite these issues, we will probably be back to rent this unit. Hopefully the problems stated will be addressed.

  Dear Tim, We are glad in you enjoyed your stay at the Cielo e mar though you had some issues needing to be taken care of. The 13 year old heater is being replaced. Even though the heater is tucked into a closet the salt air will still find a way in. The water system is next to the heater and that has already been taken care of. We have always loved Cielo e Mar and still do. The view is spectacular! However, it is showing its age and is becoming uncomfortable. What appears to be new mattresses are not conducive to a good nights sleep. There are no instructions for operating the TV and it took us almost 45 minutes to figure it out. Same with the hvac system. Please provide instructions next to the TV and thermostat! Again, you need railings on your stairs or at least the front steps.

As always, Cielo e Mar was a wonderful escape with a couple of new exceptions: dirty living room floor, toilet paper worthy of a motel 6 and no longer providing shampoo or bath gel. Even the cheapest hotels provide shampoo and bath gel and, for the quality of the house, you should be too so we are wondering why you stopped. Otherwise, the view is great as always and the house very welcoming.
