  My wife and I are part of a group of six that has been coming to Serenity each fall for the past four years. And, at the end of our stay, we make sure to book Serenity for the "Same Time, Next Year." It IS as described on the Sea Ranch Escapes website. The ocean view is beautiful and there is peaceful garden
  should you desire a bit more seclusion. The house is spacious and very well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with a large gas cook top / oven and large refrigerator. The bedrooms are roomy, the beds are quite comfortable, and the bathrooms are complete with tastefully upgraded amenities. The decor is contemporary throughout, offering a relaxing and comfortable living space. The owners have a provided a rather large library of books and cozy reader reading off the primary bedroom.
  
  Each time we have come to Serenity, it is clean and ready to enjoy. The office staff are always helpful, ensuring that our stay is enjoyable. Serenity is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fantastic Pacific Coast!

  The view of Black Point Beach from this home is mesmerizing. This was our second time staying at Serenity. It has the best layout of any house we've stayed at in Sea Ranch.   Serenity is a beautiful and comfortable house with a spectacular view. It is close to the Bluff Trail but not right on the trail, so it's very private.   The name of the house, Serenity, really speaks for the home. Serenity has an amazing down-coast view to Black Point. The layout worked really well for our group as the central living area and "master suites" for all gave plenty of privacy. The kitchen was well-equipped and fabulous. I had to work a large chunk of the time we were there, so the reading room off of the master was my work refuge; from the vantage point, I enjoyed the views of Black Point as well as the happenings in the meadow. We were fortunate to have a mother whale and calves playing in the water in view of the house. Lastly, the garden in back was absolutely lovely.

  Serenity is a beautiful, comfortable house with a spectacular view of Black Point. There is a well-equipped kitchen, which is a rarity in my experience in rental homes. The three bedrooms are well separated, which makes the house ideal for 3 couples. The only negative I will mention is a number of small maintenance issues that need to be corrected -- burnt out bulbs, one light switch broken, etc. These issues did not detract from our experience. I would recommend the house to anyone visiting Sea Ranch

During our latest visit, we were packed for winter weather but were treated an unseasonably balmy spell which was ideal for walks on the bluff and elsewhere.   Loved the garden and ocean view. We are a family who has been staying at Sea Ranch for many years. We are a busy family with film, radio, retail, music and housing development we all lead very busy lives. Sea Ranch always provides the time to unplug and gather. The design and location of this home is in our top five. Enjoying the deer and evening racoon was great. A few spiders inside the home but easily taken care of. The laundry inside the primary suite was different and small tv in the living room. My aunt worked in the original stages of The Sea Ranch with design/planning stages. Visiting this amazing space as young person has provided wonderful memories. Introducing Sea Ranch to our children when they were very young has also created a special place in their hearts. Thank you to the owners who share this home, and we look forward to our next visit.

  Finally decided to spend the "big bucks" for a great place for our (now second) annual family reunion with our two daughters and their men. The Serenity house has THREE master suites with two living rooms interspersing each. Just great. Only concern, we arrived before 5 PM, the rental agency's closing time, and found them closed. We lucked out getting the key and directions do to a kind office neighbor. It was all good.

  The staff did a great job arranging with a local florist to have a welcoming rose bouquet and balloons for my wife’s birthday.
  
  A hiccup as we arrived and found the housecleaners were still there and were for a couple more hours. Apologies all around. Our cleaning fee was waived. A fair accommodation.
  
  Another hiccup was no CD player in the living room. The instructions referenced a Sony component that wasn’t in the cabinet. With iTunes and our own portable speaker we were fine. Living room TV was a mystery too; until our tech savvy son arrived Saturday morning.

  The home was very nice and fit our needs. In the master shower the shower on the left had no hot water. Also the front plate on the microwave was off. I would tell others about the home as such a pretty setting.
  There was one thing that was confusing on the cleaning fee as stated $25.00 an hour plus tax but no example as to how long the cleaning would be. This house was five hours which was OK. I was in charge of gathering all that was due and how do you tell the others later I didn't charge enough? It should've been stipulated approx. hours. Thanks You

  This was the 4th or 5th time we have stayed at “Serenity” or, as it was called prior to the addition, “Keller House.” The kitchen has top-end appliances and everything you need to whip up great meals worthy of the views from the dining room. The expansive wrap-around deck and lounge chairs give you a bird’s eye view of the sea, cliffs, and nearby Black Cove Beach. The showers are HUGE— you can wash an entire family in there at once. And the beds are so comfortable. The upstairs bedroom addition is equally as large and inviting as the original master bedroom. The cozy library off the master bedroom has many great titles to keep you reading. And the TV room is a fantastic addition with great views of the fabulous garden. We wish we lived here!

  If you want to have a mellow and laid back respite with another couple, this is the place. It is not appropriate for a large group, or family with small children, but perfect for adults who enjoy cooking great meals and long walks on the bluffs.   We have stayed in many different rental homes in Sea Ranch over the years and this house is our new favorite! The owner has done a marvelous job with all the little details of the house and except for some minor issues, everything was in place for creating a a spectacular getaway.
  
  Great location for getting on the ocean bluff trails for a long morning walk or for heading up the coast to Pt. Arena and Gualala for afternoon exploring. The house feel is so well thought out in terms of privacy, that you can chose to just hang around the house if crowds and people are not your thing. Read more in the 4 days we were there than in the last year!
  
  Best stocked kitchen and as serious cooks we appreciated all the details and quality of appliances. Wound up cooking at the house every night rather than heading out to eat.
  
  Highly recommend this home and are only quibble was that there is construction going on next door and that was not disclosed to us before we arrived. Fortunately there was only one day where the noise was not acceptable but if you are going up you may want to ask the status of the work.

Far enough away from the bluff top walking path so you don't constantly have people walking by and looking in but still with a great view. 3 very comfortable bedrooms with baths-no couple will feel slighted.   We had a wonderful week at Serenity! We especially enjoyed the open floor plan with large view windows and the deck. We wanted to enjoy the beautiful courtyard as well but had such nice sunny and mild weather that we couldn't pull ourselves away from the 'ocean side' of the house.   This ocean view home has too many amenities to describe each one separately. The home has been remodeled since we stayed there in 2007. The new addition is exceptional and has added so much space. Each guest can find their own little space to escape in the library, upstairs window box or family room yet you can be together to enjoy your family inside or outside with games or binoculars provided.Two overstuffed leather chairs sit in front of massive windows for excellent views. The home is located with breath taking views of Black Point Beach. Sitting on the deck in the deck chairs enjoying the view of the ocean and the sound of the ocean was very restful and serene. The location of the home is ideal. It makes you feel like you are alone in the world, yet you are near to the walking trails to enjoy the 20 miles of trails and beaches of Sea Ranch. There was an abundance of wildlife to enjoy, including 2 newly born fawns and their mother, a fascinating Blue Jay that seems to have the guests trained to come out to see him. My husband and I recommend Serenity as a wonderful home to rent. Very comfortable. Decorated beautifully.

  Fabulous. We have been coming to Sea Ranch for 20 years and have stayed in a lot of houses. This is the second time renting this house and it is by far the best. All bedrooms are comfortable with private baths. The kitchen is great and all common areas are super comfortable. The deck has a fantastic view and stays warm even on the coldest/windiest days. The owners have amassed an amazing collection of books - I could stay there forever reading them. Can't say enough good things about this house

  We have been to Sea ranch many times but never at this house... It was a very large and comfortable house...well equipped kitchen... Comfortable beds and a great TV watching area... The only negatives were the shower in one of the bedrooms was very weak..,and the floors in the showers were very slippery .,. also the cleaning fee was quite high... It seemed that 6 hours to clean after we left was a bit much... but all in all it was a good house and for 3 couples it really works...

  Every three years we rent a high-end TSR house to accommodate a reunion with former classmates. Serenity stood out from all the others, in both our opinion and that of our guests. There was real reluctance on their part to leave, and a strong temptation to come back next year, rather than waiting the historical three-year pattern. This is an exceptional house in a prime location, offering great ocean views, including the waves rolling in on Black Point beach, while maintaining an atmosphere of privacy, including from the bluff trail.

  Beautiful Sea Ranch home with a spectacular view. Very open concept living, dining, and kitchen area, comfortable and California casual approach to decor. We loved the big fireplace and the gourmet kitchen -- top of the line appliances and stocked with everything one might need. Stunning sea view from the front and a beautiful garden in the back which also provides privacy. Close to the trails, but just far enough off to protect your privacy out front. One of the nicest rentals we have stayed in and our friends who stayed a little further north in Sea Ranch preferred our house to theirs.
  Very close to the Sea Ranch Lodge/Restaurant and Stewart's Point, and about 6 miles from Gualala - an easy drive.
  The only thing I would offer to the management is that we would have liked a floor lamp or two in the living room for evening reading. The overheads illuminate, but it's not conducive to a warm, cozy atmosphere to curl up with a good book.

  We had a wonderful time at Serenity. The home is big enough for several couples to spread out, but cozy enough to spend quality time with each other. We enjoyed the deck while watching the ocean and the wildlife. We also enjoyed the protected garden while drinking our wine and enjoying our afternoon snacks. We had a very cute but persistent raccoon visit us on our last night. He was not easily discouraged, but the deer and blue jays were abundant and fun to watch. Good times were had by all. The kitchen was easy to use and easy to clean up....which is important when you are on vacation....Our friends could not maneuver
  the stairs to the large upstairs bedroom--so they opted for the downstairs smaller bedroom. Do be aware the stairs are steep and not easy to navigate for older people.

  A beautiful house with superb views and facilities. We had plenty of space and were very relaxed in the house. The trail walking was lovely and the swimming pool and tennis courts were like new. We will definitely return.

  The most beautiful house we have ever stayed in for the last 10 years. Loved sitting on large deck enjoying the majestic ocean view. But a couple of things put a "damper" on our stay. The freezer did not work and the bbq was filthy with dirty tools left inside. We had to spend much time to clean in order to be usable. I reported to the managers and they offered to compensate for our trouble but did not. But we still enjoyed our stay in spite of complaints.
